Closing The Final Chapter of the Life of a Special Needs Adult

As you know in my last blog I had admitted our special needs adult into Hospice. Sadly, on February 28, 2019 Gussie Grant died at home from End Stage Alzheimer’s. She had one more horrific seizure which wrecked her brain and she continued to have seizures up to the day she died.

Her death has taken a toll on me. Believe me when I tell you … heart break is very real. Finally, I had to take a serious look at my own health after 45 years of living for my Boss Gussie and looking out for her well being, since our parents deaths.

Yes, Gussie was my baby sister. I am closing the chapter of her life on earth as was done for our dad in 1974 after a car accident and my mama in 1978 of multiple strokes. He was 46 and our mama was 40.  I know that God has all of them in heaven together.
