It has long been recognized that many Filmmakers started their careers off by delving in other interesting adventures in the arts. They might have been dancers, artists, athletes, singers, or worked on stage. More and more these days we’re seeing filmmakers, sports figures, singers, artists, agents and lawyers writing books.
Books have held the magic key to success for many people in the business of film. As I stated in my written piece about “Filmmakers As Speakers”, a filmmaker might be driven by a passion that means a great deal to him or her. For instance a cause to end violence, end world hunger, save the planet, find a cure for many health issues and more.
Finding ways to open up dialogue about a cause an artist believes in, usually a good way to start is to ask them, “Have you ever thought about writing a book?”
